Which size board to buy?
I'm 6 feet 2, 15 stone, size 11 moto boots with large burton bindings
and considering buying my first snowboard. I consider myself to be an intermediate boarder who boards piste and off-piste but nothing too big. I'm looking for a suitable board (not for park riding or jumping) that is large enough but will be responsive in turns and edge-to-edge. I'm looking to spend £250 (second hand) if possible, any recommendations? Will i need an extra wide board or will i be able to get away with a normal width board that has the extra response? |

Check out symmetric boards with length 155 - 160 cm and width under bindings about 25 cm. Oops, messed up the UK/US conversion. 25-26cm board waist is probably closer to the mark for size 11UK boots. -Jules -- http://learning.snowboarding2.com |

Now i (99kg) will go skateboarding with my kids skateboard (max rider weight 70 kg) and tomorrow i will go windsurfing with a fun board that is 330 cm (too) long (for freeriding). |
