Numpty Google Earth question
Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, The Older
Gentleman typed It's not in real time, is it? If not, then how far off? And if there's an option to set it to real time (or close), then how? Yes, guess who wants to examine the snow cover from altitude, as it were? As you now know, it's not sufficiently up-to-date. But even if it was, how useful would it be? You'd get "white", or "not white". The snow could be 0.5cm deep, or 30 metres. I gather that's important to you types who insist on sliding down hills with planks tied to your feet. -- Wicked Uncle Nigel - "He's hopeless, but he's honest" WS* GHPOTHUF#24 APOSTLE#14 DLC#1 COFF#20 BOTAFOT#150 HYPO#0(KoTL) IbW#41 SBS#39 OMF#6 Enfield 500 Curry House Racer "The Basmati Rice Burner", Honda GL1000K2 (Fallen apart) Suzuki TS250 "The Africa Single" Norton 850 Commando Kawasaki GTR1400 |

Oh yeah, but when conditions are *really* crappy (as they are right now in the Pyrenees) you do get an awful lot of brown as well. And if you know where to look in the resort in question, and you see lots of brown, you might have time to arrange an alternative. |

Numpty Google Earth question
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember Mike Barnard saying something like: Try http://www.welove2ski.com/jsp/index.jsp?lnk=530. It's new and pretty good for near enough live forecasts showing on a map. "Dump of the day" and "Dump of the season". Sounds like a lot of ****. Divided by a common language, again. -- Dave GS850x2 XS650 SE6a "A scone and tea at half past three Makes the day a little brighter Keep your cakes and fancy tarts And stick them up your ****er." |

Not really - the word "dump" to describe a heavy snowfall is widely used by most English speakers who slide down mountains for fun. -- Champ I don't know, but I been told, you never slow down, you never get old ZX10R | GPz750turbo | GSX-R600 (race) neal at champ dot org dot uk |
