As long as you have good, sharp edges. And it's supposed to snow mid-week, so with a bit of luck...... There is a bike hire place as it happens in Arc 1600, but I don't know if it functions in the winter. You could ask at the Horn's who runs the Polaire Star ski hire/storage place at the bottom funicular station. Their son Tom mentioned they did bike rentals ... phone number here http://bsm.alpesprovence.net/polaire.htm Pete |

Looks like you might be in luck - there's some snow on the way (see meteo france 4 day forecast at http://tinyurl.com/6bsln ) That said, they were considerably more optimistic this morning, with a couple of double snowflake days instead of singles ... which sometimes turn out to be just that - "single" snowflakes per day , if you're lucky enough to spot one :-( Pete - SNOWeSCAPE http://bsm.alpesprovence.net |

It's all hype (as most of snowboarding:-P) I fell off my first and then
never did again. On Mon, 17 Jan 2005 19:43:30 +0000, Sue wrote: In message , Carl Edwards writes If skiing looks unrewarding I might hire a snowboard and learn how to fall off it...
