Default Bike hire in Les Arcs next week?

If it still doesn't snow, will we be able to hire bikes and go cycling
instead? If not in les Arcs maybe in Bourg St M?

It's not that bad Sue! As long as you have good, sharp edges. And it's
supposed to snow mid-week, so with a bit of luck......

There is a bike hire place as it happens in Arc 1600, but I don't know
if it functions in the winter. You could ask at the Horn's who runs the
Polaire Star ski hire/storage place at the bottom funicular station.
Their son Tom mentioned they did bike rentals ... phone number here

Thanks Pete, I'll pass that on to the group.

If skiing looks unrewarding I might hire a snowboard and learn how to
fall off it...

Looks like you might be in luck - there's some snow on the way (see
meteo france 4 day forecast at http://tinyurl.com/6bsln )

That said, they were considerably more optimistic this morning, with a
couple of double snowflake days instead of singles ... which sometimes
turn out to be just that - "single" snowflakes per day , if you're lucky
enough to spot one :-(

Especially as there's a draglift!

One of the party is a capable boarder who's afraid of draglifts and took
offence at my enthusiasm for them. So if I get on a board at all, I've
got to be draglift-ready by the end of the week!

It's all hype (as most of snowboarding:-P) I fell off my first and then
never did again.
