Default Snowboard lessons for Children - UK

Hello,

I'm having problems sorting out a snowboard course for my children, aged 10
and 12. I live in Harlow, Essex and the 2 local dry slopes are not able to
give lessons. At Basildon kids must be at least 11 and at Welwyn kids must
have size 4 feet, so both are out.
SnozoneMK do kids lessons for £22/hour but this is a bit of a long way,
although real snow, and they don't do courses. Anybody here know of any
slopes not too far from Harlow that cater for kids?

Thank you

Sorry, just checked on website, minimum age for snowboarding is 14, I'm
pretty sure the reason is insurance (it usually is) the other dry slopes in
the region are at Hemel Hempstead and Norwich, have you tried them?

I've tried Hemel, but Norwich is further than Milton Keynes so I may just
resort to going there.

Thanks anyway )

If you are going that far also ask at High Wycombe. Just off M40.

Thanks for that, looks like just the ticket, £3.50 to join and £11 for a one
hour lesson for 8-12 year olds. Not bad at all, and I can visit my sister
while I'm in that direction )

I did check last night, the websites wrong, minimum age is 12, but the
smallest boots are 5's so thats no help anyway, sorry.

personnally I would reccomend snow for learning to snowboard, dendex is fine
on the nursury slope, but I have sworn never to use a board on a dry slope
again, it's too much like hard work.

BTW there is a salomon test night at Ipswich on friday if anyones interested
and in the area.

Thanks again Chris,

I think I'll pop them over to High Wycombe for a couple of cheap starter
lessons on the dry first to see how they like it, and if all goes well then
take them to SnozoneMK.

I'm glad I've got two skiing/boarding holidays this season, looks like I'll
have to fork out for the kids next year (
