Default Mount Rainier: skiing to Sunrise

Does anyone have some pointers on the best routes to ski up to
Sunrise?

I've been told the road is closed until June most years. My wife and
I want to ski into the area and camp overnight.

If there is a know route (trailhead, access roads, books, online
references, etc) then I'd appreciate hearing any information you might
have.

Thanks in advance,
Roger

Sorry this was problematic for you. Use the link I posted, then click
on any of the trip reports pages (for example, March 2004). Scour the
page that comes up for a search function button. Click on it. Fill
in "Sunrise" in the box, hit return and you'll find a couple of trip
reports. Then try searching on other terms you find, such as
"Burroughs," or maybe "White River Road."

As an alternative, join the list (it's free) and post your question
there. There are regulars on Turns All Year, including the guy whose
site it is, who ski that area quite a bit every spring. They're very
welcoming and supportive.

Enjoy,

Mark

Sorry, this doesn't help me much... I'm not familar w/ the area and
there appears to be no way to search the trip reports for the link you
provided.

Thanks Mark... I found the search link right after sending the message
(wished I had a recall at that point).

I'll join the list... Looks like there are some amazing trips posted
there... So far I've had a friend just recommend skiing up the road,
but I figure there has to be other accesses from the white river
side... I'll post to the list and see what I get.

thanks again,
roger
