Default Thumpin' Heart Rate Monitor Transmitter

I swear that I can feel some mechanism in my polar heart rate monitor
transmitter(s) moving presumably in synch with my heart beats. I am aware of
this only when still.

Anyone else experience this? What could be mechanical inside these things?
