Default Progress in detecting blood doping?

Perhaps off topic, but given the number of threads/posts here about doping,
I thought that some of the more technically inclined readers might be
interested in this recent paper (link is to abstract only, unfortunately):

Pierre-Edouard Sottas, Neil Robinson, Sylvain Giraud, Franco Taroni,
Matthias Kamber, Patrice Mangin, and Martial Saugy "Statistical
Classification of Abnormal Blood Profiles in Athletes".
