salomon skiis comparison

I ski a crossmax 10, 180 cm. .
can anyone give me there ideas on a
comparison between the crossmax
and a screem pilot, extra hot ,165 cm.?

I haven't skied the Crossmax but I own and ski on Salomon XScreams (190+) and
Pockets Rockets (175). A week ago I was on a business trip and didn't want to
drag my skis all over. I was able to get three days skiing at Steamboat and
demo'd the Pilots, both the hots and extra hots and both at 175.

I really enjoyed both of them. The extra hots (84 at the foot I think) were
like a cross between my own two pairs. Sort of like a compromise of both, a
good all mountain ski. The hots (75 at the foot) were quicker turning but not
as good in powder. If I could only have one ski it would be the extra hot. But
my preference would be to ski the hot on groomers and moguls and the pocket
rockets on real powder days.

Overall I really enjoyed both pair of pilots. I was surprised at how much I
enjoyed the reduced length. The turns were much quicker which was good in the
bumps and trees. I will be back on my own skis this Saturday and I wonder what
I will think about their longer length now.
