The Arc en Ciel funiculair runs up from the back of the Eurostar station to Arc 1600, just about 100m from the Mont Blanc and Cachette chair lifts. Dead handy, it is, and we've often used it for a day's skiing when en-route to or from Tignes or Val. You should be able to see it on http://www.lesarcs.com/Plan-interact...-Arc-1800.html |

The bottom lift is the Arc En Ciel (Rainbow) Funicular. This is caught from the railway station (the Bridge at the far end of the station). There is also a car park next to it. The top of Arc En Ciel is in Arc 1600. From here walk left to the Free Navettes to the rest of Les Arcs or through the hotels to the snow and catch which ever Arc 1600 lift you fancy. |

I was there just a week ago and I was shocked to see that you now have to pay for all public parking spaces- just at 1800 and 2000 I think. There is a gate on the road below 1800 for instance where you take a ticket and then you pay on your way out. Think it cost €70-€80 Euros per week so not cheap ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ XS Peak Retreats http://www.peakretreats.co.uk Ski Collection http://www.skicollection.co.uk |

I know it always used to be free, so I'd hope they'd leave it so to encourage people to leave their cars down there. |
