Thinking about going at the middle to end of April, assuming the mountain is
still open ? Will I have snow to ski on or is this a little late to go ? TIA Ron |

You probably won't be able to ski the bottom 1000' of vertical, but there'll be lots of snow higher up. You'll take a lift up to the skiing area, and download at the end of the day. It may be a little "thick" but there'll be snow. //Walt |

Let me give you the inside scoop from a Whistler local who is down in Park City this weekend. Olympics will be ok, snowmaking on the entire downhill run. April is a major crapshoot. Base is half what it normally is at this time of year. While the pattern in El Nino years tends to mean a mild middle winter, frequently March and April are major snow months. But no guarantee. I'd hold off booking until the middle of March and see if the snow arrives. But then again, unlike Walt who is a blowhard know nothing, I actually ski Whistler every April, so I might know what I am talking about. |

As usual, they could both be false. |
