repairing wood skate skis
i bought a used pair of skate skis. just above the lower edge some of
the plastic is broken off and you can see the wood core. i like the skis. i was thinking of wood marine varnish but wondering what everyone else does? thankyou. |

I personally like JB Weld epoxy for repairing ski sidewalls. It's
actually made for metal bonding ... but works well on skis. It is super strong, won't crack and I like the fact that when it dries the surface is very smooth, so there's less drag than with normal epoxies. Tips: put tape on the ski base so you don't get epoxy on it, and place your ski on its side after you smear on the epoxy on so that it doesn't run out of the low spots. |
