Sorry, just found this now :

Powerslide Nordic Trainer brochure :

Crazy, you see them usuing them on snow as well!
Inline style booats means fixed heels, might make it closer to inline blding
than roller/XC skiing.

Jan, you might like classic better than you do now on snow in prepared
tracks. It makes a big difference not having to aim/steer while classic
striding. Not that that makes any difference to the present topic, but
keep it in mind if you go somewhere with snow some time.

Watching long classic races on tv helped me visualizing that, so indeed on
snow it seems nice and somewhat challenging. I can see myself doing it, as a
change. Just for the heck of some day doing a combi race it should be fun.
Those seem like casual group rides till the halfway point. Too bad that
combi ski's+boots don't seem to work superbly for both, otherwise it would
just be added fun.

For now, skating is plenty fun. I just rounded a 1km flying start with some
corners in 2m36. 13s off last week's best. MTB race yesterday, even a stiff
shoulder from a crash.
I had not expected to ever get this kind of speed from Crosskates, thought
they were so much slower than snow race conditions. To get this after a good
2 months...awesome. I guess I learned myself to skate today, used my legs to
the point of actually breathing hard, a first. Much fun, I need to do this
in sub-zero whiteness.
It stuns me how close the skating I do now feels to the way I visualized it
before I first put them on.
