Snowing!!!!!
Six inches on Thursday, 4-8 inches more today. Pretty small potatoes
but we've yet to get a real decent dump this year, so I'm glad of it. Go Ullr!!! -- Mary Malmros Some days you're the windshield, other days you're the bug. |

By far the biggest "dump" of the year and it is pretty light and fluffy top with a temp of only 8 on top of the hill. Makes all the difference in a ****-poor year like this one. Might even cover enough of the rocks and twigs to make the good stuff skiable without ripping out edges -- I hope since we are headed up for three days this week, starting tomorrow. I smiled the whole time I was shoveling out the foot or so from the driveway and off my P/U. Dave M. |

Here in Bishop it snowed almost 2ft from 4AM to about 3PM yesterday. I was
in my classroom early as usual when they kicked us out--A couple of the busses couldn't get through and neither the city nor the county could keep up. Both Inyo and Mono counties were CLOSED. For a time 395 was closed all the way from Red Rock Canyon to the Nevada border. Both of our local mountains already had plenty of snow--now they have lots more. People are starting to talk about '69 -- I ski, therefore I am "Dave M" wrote in message ... Mary Malmros wrote: Six inches on Thursday, 4-8 inches more today. Crested Butte had a series of dumps totaling about 2', and then last night it got serious. Twenty-four + hours of heavy snow fall now. Couldn't get out of the house today to get to the area. Life is unfair, but if we can ever get over to the area it's gonna be great. Jack |

Not Friday. Today it was possible but the winds were howling, the visibility
was 0. Much of the the Mountain was on wind hold. I stayed in Bishop dealing with the snow in our driveway and on our drive. I am near the end of a private drive that the city doesn't plow--so we have to get out there and clear it ourselves before the next one comes in. I expect it to be snowing again tomorrow and Monday--but I'm going to try to get up the hill anyway. -- I ski, therefore I am "Jack Nixon" wrote in message ...
