Default Friendly Race in California

For those Californians not already in Michigan for the Natl Masters, next
weekend (Jan. 24/25) will be the Chimney Rock Challenge xc races at
Monteceito-Sequoia in Sequoia National Park. This is probably one of the
friendliest low-key races you could attend. Pretty much all of the racers
stay at the Monteceito Lodge for the weekend - they have a great racer's
package of two races/lodging/meals for $100. In addition to the 15K
freestyle & 15K classic races, there is ice skating, hot tubbing and usually
an outrageous hockey match. Call 800-843-8677 for more info.
