I've been asked if I wanna go to Heavenly (at Lake Tahoe in the US) for a
week next January. I had a look through the archive, and there seems to be
quite a lot of negative opinions of the place. Is it as bad as that? Are
there that many flats?

And are we guaranteed decent snow in early to mid-January?

Cheers,

Barney.

I used to like Heavenly ok. The flats thing is not that bad..

I had a pass there last year. Never again.. They make so much snow the ski
surface is like concrete. It's awful

Heavenly, naaa. I had a pass last yr. also. Just wasen't what I'd
remembered from yrs. ago. If you are traveling to Tahoe, go to Squaw
Valley. if you are sick enough you can ski until 9 pm after mid dec. Squaw
has it all and then some check out the web site.

Heavenly is a huge resort with small everything ('cept the lines) but if
that is your only option then go. it's better than no snow at all.

Well, we're coming over from Scotland, and it's costing a fortune, so we
decided that Heavenly wasn't gonna cut it. So now we're off to Sun Peaks in
Canada instead.
