Aspen Area Lift Tickets
I am heading off to the Aspen area for a week long ski vacation in mid
march. Does anyone know of any cheap options for lift tickets? (Actually anything less than the trivial discount they offer on the aspen web site.) We have a couple beginners in our group who may only be skiing at Buttermilk. Are there any cheaper "Buttermilk only" lift tickets available? 15 years ago when I was in the Aspen area, Aspen Highlands lift tickets were cheaper than Aspen Mountain or Snowmass. This does not appear to be the case now. Does anyone know for sure? Jeff Timmons (Remove NOSPAM upon reply) |

Aspen Area Lift Tickets
I was there a few weeks ago.
There seems to be only one deal ... about $180 for a season ticket. Problem is you need to be 70 y.o. One day ticket: $72, 2-day: $144, 3-day: 216, ... 5-day: $360. Took us a while to figure out that there are NO discounts for multi-day tickets ... it's simply $72 x number of days. We just paid ... and had a great time. "Jeffrey C. Timmons" wrote in message ... Except that the multiday tic was good also at Vail, which which would save the customer token money. Except that the same multiday tic was good for A-Basin which is much better and significantly cheaper - and you'd be screwed royal if A-Basin was in your plans, over-paying by several tens of dollars on a multiday ticket. I can't figure out pricing for Colorado skiing - the multiday is screwy. BTW, not pertinent for Aspen (or maybe it is) but at Arapaho Basin I asked the ticket window if there were any deals floating around and she looked through a pile of unused coupons on her desktop and picked one out for me to use on the spot. Saved some money by just asking at the window. |

All other Colorado areas, expect to pay full fare, especially in March. |
