It not too bad here in SoCal either. Snow Summit in Big Bear has a four
to six foot base. The snow was abit heavy yesterday but this is SOUTHERN
California. Mt. Baldy is reporting an eight to ten foot base with
skiing down to the parking lot. That a rarity for Baldy. Now if they
just had some decent lifts......

Yes it is!!!

I just got back from spending the last few days in Truckee. I went to
Mt Rose and Northstar and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

I had some killer runs and even went through a bit of woods, which is a
first for me.

My ribs are back to normal; I didn't feel them at all, though I've got
to get out for a hike today; my quads are a little sore.

From Texas I say:

BITE ME.

However, the system that moved in from New Mexico late last night is
giving us a light dusting above 9000, light rain lower, and the next
wave of moisture from Baja tomorrow is supposed increase that
accumulation to 8 to 10 inches. Valleys should expect 3/4" rain, which
will just about spell the end of this season's snowpack.
