Default Vermont Backcountry Report

Okay westerners, tune out. Europeans pass on this post also, but New
Englanders listen up.

There's a favorable and skiable crust in the backcountry of Vermont which
allows fine passage on the two to four inch freshies sitting on top.

If you enjoy skiing trees, find a hardwood forest at elevation and have at
it.

May all your weekends be white,

Guido

I take it that you're referring to Northern VT. There can't be mush snow
left off piste in Southern VT! It's been balmy lately, and you can
actually see the ground!

Are you still in Vermont if you're south of Camels Hump?

So, Guido, where have you found conditions good in northern VT? From down
here in W. Mass all the signals (Views from the Top, Trail Conditions) are
that the snow sucks up there. We'd love to take a run up north but aren't
sure where to go.

Cheers
