Default Whistler conditions

Considering going out two weeks from now. I know it'll be spring
conditions for sure, but how has the snow been holding up? Did they get
average, above, or below, this winter?

Just got back from a week of incredibly warm weather at Whistler. The
conditions are what you'd expect. Ice in the morning turning great for bout
1/2 an hour and then turning soft for an hour and then turning to mush. I
had great time once I got the hang of checking of following the sun in the
morning and getting ahead of it in the afternoon. That is, in the morning
look for sunny east facing runs mid mountain (where the ice will have
soften) and then move up and more west facing as the day goes on.

Once I got the hang of doing that (and packed the kids off to ski school), I
had a blast. The slush at the ends of the runs was tiring but spring skiing
is fun and the one thing about Whistler/Blackcomb is that there's always at
least some open runs.

Don't waste money on ski on-ski-off though. There's little snow at the
bottom so you really can't ski home and if you like the bottoms of the skis,
you really ought not ski on. That said there's feet and feet of snow on the
top (and the glaciers never melt anyway).
