Default LF wax for cleaning skis?

I've got some very old very soft LF wax (Swix Pilot 10LF) that I don't
use for skiing. Is it OK to use as a cleaning and prep wax?

I read about using supersoft regular hydrocarbon waxes for that, so I
wonder if slightly flourinated will work just as well.

JT -

I got a killer deal on the same wax many years ago and use it just
like you want to - cleaning, prep and storage. My guess is that the
actual fluoro content is less than modern wax and that it actually
wastes the fluoro, but it does the job especially if you always race
wax w/ higher content fluoros.

ESG's on Saturday? C U then.

No, a little race in Vermont this weekend. Sounds like the snow in
Placid will be great.
