Default snow

It snowed in Mammoth (just up the road from me) last Thrs. In fact it was
the coldest day in August since they have been keeping records! KOLO
(TV-Reno) reported freezing temps in Truckee and across the Sierras--so
Lal_truckee must have seen some snow too! I'm expecting and early opener
here.

Not much. Just enough to note that it was snowing and then it was over.
But it was pretty cold. Not winter cold, but cold. Sounds like you saw
more snow than we did.
