re-entered in the xcskiworld.com web site. (Could the hackers be the
curling fans who stuffed the Olympic poll ballot box?)

The John Day XC race features a mass start and includes both freestyle
(20k) and classic (10k) events with Master, Senior and Junior (w/
shorter distances) age groupings. The flat to rolling machined groomed
racecourse emphasizes the recreational nature of XC ski racing and
offers racers an opportunity to clock impressive finish times. Located
at Diamond Lake north of Crater Lake National Park.

For you east coasters, Crater Lake is in Oregon. Oregon boarders the
Pacific Ocean, is north of California and south of Washington. The
Diamond Lake venue is at 5000 feet ASL and the roadside snow pack is
over 2 meters deep.
