Default Hunter Mountain in mid December

I'm going to be in NYC in mid December so I might shoot over to Hunter for
a few hours. What sort of conditions should I expect? Do they usually have
any intermediate stuff open that early in the season?

Depends solely on temperature. Hunter's description of an ideal day is 20
degrees (F) and a clear sky. The primary snow base is from snowmaking, so
if it's a cold November, which it looks like so far, then it will be good
snowmaking weather. Hunter's OK mid-week but avoid like the plague on
weekends.

Absolutely unpredictable.
As long as they have stable below freezing temps at night, they can
cover whole mountain in a few days. Nobody make a snow like Hunter.
It's just amazing...

Last season was great, but this...
Can't wait to find out...

As the others said, it all depends on the temps. A cold Nov and Dec, you
could find most of the mountain open. If temps aren't good for
snowmaking, you might find 2 or 3 routes down the mountain available.
