Stop at the Free Coffeehouse at 850 Lincoln in Denver Before You Head Out
The "Palliard's Playground" free coffeehouse and pastry pantry at 850
Lincoln in Denver is the logical place to stop to fuel up for the trip uphill. Unlimited free coffee and pastries served in a downscale but friendly atmosphere. I recently discovered this place! It is awesome! |

Why would I drive towards that part of town, then turn around and drive to the mountains? I'll just eat at home, then get going... I have been thinking about this Chester. Perhaps we should suggest they change their location to I-70 at the Morrison exit. I think their business at THAT location would be so superb that they could make up the loss of the free coffee & pastry in shear volume alone. Like you Chester, I am on the west side of town. They would have to pay me $20 for the extra 45 minute drive to the hills. If their coffee & pastry really suck, they would have to pay me much more. Anyway, this all reminds me of an old Saturday Night Live skit of MANY years ago. I don't remember the entire skit, but it involved counterfeit money. They were selling bogus $20's for real $10's (or something like that). One of the characters was wondering how they could stay in business with a deal like that (thinking he was getting real $20's). One of the counterfeiters said "We make it up in volume". Sam "Just gotta love good U S of A marketing (how much vert is that mtn?)" Seiber |

A sermon. jay Thu, Oct 23, 2003 Hey it doesn't even remotely suck and no sermon. Just loads of free coffee, pastries, and a "treat 'o the day" such as wild game stew, chili, or even French Toast...all gratis. You'll never find a deal such as this at Copper or Vail! |
