Shmunger Trail

Got in 2:15:00 and about 22 miles of skating in. I jammed my rollerski pole
tips into a crack between two planks in a bridge last week, so actually had to
transfer pole tips to my actual ski poles today.

I got to thinking about the Mora Vasaloppet 03 while I was trying to use only
legs and no poles the 11 miles back to the Munger Inn. I got passed by the lead
pack when they were on the last couple K when I still had a lap of the lake to
do. I just remember how explosive each of their strides in V2 Alternate was. I
found that when I really tried to pop on each skate right through my heel, it
was a good feeling.

Anyway, it was hotter and muggier than heck here today.
