Default When to get a new board? Now!

My dad and I went into the board store today to get mine tuned up (edges are
still rusty even after a few days riding, thing probably hasn't been waxed
since I bought it) and ask about what good a newer board might do him, like I'd
mentioned in the other thread he was on an ancient Rossignol with squared off
ends and hardly any sidecut. He walks out with a Custom 158 paired with
Mission bindings, which oddly enough, his old boots, which he didn't want to
upgrade, seemed to fit into perfectly. I guess after years of riding the
cheapest piece of crap he could get at a sport swap, he deserves something a
bit better, and from this century... ;-)

The question is, how long will it take for my skin to lose this green color it
seems to have picked up?
