Default Birkie Goes Classic in 2007

The 2007 American Birkebeiner will be a CLASSIC ONLY RACE !!
Start training now !
Official word was just released this morning from the new Birkie Director
Bjorn Tellalie.

"We're happy to make this announcement." said Bjorn. "This will, hopefully,
lead to more registrations and more skiers from the old school of classic
skiing."

The birkie foundation will have more details coming shortly.

The start line will be on lake Hayward to allow for 200 sets of classic
tracks on the front row.

Happy April 1st !
Start Double Poling now !

JK

Good one!

PS: I'm going biking in Marin County, No. Cal., for the first time in
15 years in a couple weeks. Biking time! Oh yeah! Time to switch to new
training. Man, daily calesthenics are the way to go. If I'd only do a
full routine every day, all would be fine. Now that the snow is gone my
boy wants me to chase him on the trails every day. After the first day,
I had a foot-sprain. --Because I haven't done any 'scampering' training
since last summer. If I kept doing versatile daily training, I'd be
ready. Tumbling, scrambling: these things are good to do every week
anyway. Well, I hope I can adapt to super-hilly extreme biking
pronto-like!
