Default sierra snow?

I heard on the news that there was a snow storm in the sierras last
week. Is there any skiing to be found at around Donner Pass and/or
Mammoth?

Mammoth has snow and the Mountain is open for Alpine. No XC grooming
yet. There are XC tracks around town and in the Lakes Basin.
Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center is scheduled to open on Saturday 22
November.

Ski Exuberantly,

Hank

Mammoth Lakes, California

If Cross Country ski racing were easy, it would be called football.

Not anymore, at least in Tahoe. There was snow at Auburn Ski Club for
about a week, the kids' teams skied a few times. But it was about 70
degrees today, snow's all gone. Great rollerskiing weather, though.
