Default Burton Ion HD and Driver

Has anyone had a chance to compare the Burton Ion HD and the Driver
side by side? I've tried on the Ion but the shop had not gotten their
allotment of drivers yet. Any idea how they stack up together on
weight and overall size?
I tried on a pair of Sanchezes at the same time as the Ions and it
was a close call. I like the Ions because they were a lot lighter and
almost an inch shorter. I liked the Sanchez because they were cheaper
(last years model) and had that trick BOA lace on them. They were both
pretty comfy, the Burton being a little more so and the Sanchez being
easier to get into and out of.
My last pair of boots, K2 Firebirds, served me decently but
ultimately didn't fit or perform that well, so I'd like to invest in
some nice boots.
