Saw this in the news:

I was all set to finally try Corbet's Couloir last time I was at
Jackson Hole (2003), but didn't get the chance after dislocating my
shoulder on the first day of the trip.

You should definitely go back and try your hand at Corbet's then.

You should definitely go back and try your hand at Corbet's then. Post
pics.

The sad thing was, the week we were there Corbet's had so much snow
that some people were side-slipping in without the mandatory air.

Here's what it looked like through the tram window:

Here's a pro shot I found on the web from about the same time frame
http://uploads.savefile.com/users/up...bets_splat.jpg

When I was there in 1999, they also had a lot of snow. The first day I
headed up and considered dropping in. It was about a 6-8 foot drop
that day. The guy who went right before me managed to dig the tip of
his ski in and went for a slide. It was sticking out of the snow at a
really awkward angle just a few feet from where I would have needed to
land. Nobody else was around, as the guy's buddies had gone first. I
figured the odds of me sticking the landing, grabbing the ski and
yanking it out of the snow, and then nailing the first turn before
hitting the rock wall were pretty slim. For the rest of the week, I
never did get around to waiting through the tram line and never got
back up there. Probably just as well, as none of the people I was
skiing with had any interest in trying it.
Q: What are a Texan's last words?

I agree. I'd pay good money to watch a Texan hop into
Corbet's. He'll need it to pay the hospital bills.

If by good money you mean enough to cover my airfare, lodging, and
maybe a lift ticket, then I'll be happy to give it a shot.
Otherwise it might be a while before I make it back up there unless my
financial situation improves.

And speaking of hospital bills, the ski clinic charged over $1000 for
my dislocated shoulder exam and reduction. It took a while, but my
insurance finally reimbursed me. While I'm on the subject, here's the
x-ray of my dislocated shoulder:

and here's how it looked after the 10 minutes of unmedicated tug-of-war
to get it back in:

Hummm - sometimes the volunteer doc on duty in first aid or even on the
hill just pops shoulders back in around here - no charge.

Was this on-mountain first aid that charged? Or the local hospital?

It was the on-hill clinic, which is run by the hospital. I liked the
way they did their entrance. They have the toboggan brought right in
through a garage door onto a platform even with the height of a gurney.
Patient is easily slid onto the gurney and wheeled into an exam room.

It's there, but apparently has some stability "issues". Oh well, you
get what you pay for, and it was free. You can try the links again, or
maybe this other freebie site will work better:
