50K Club Report 1-11-04

The 50K Club Report for Sunday, January 11th '04 goes something like
this;

Back to Elm Creek for more skiing on the 2 1/2 kilometer man-made
loop. Located in the northwestern suburbs of Minneapolis, we're lucky
to have the place so close to the metro area. I drove out with Jay
Wenner but skied with Bills Stuber and Quinn. We skated first and then
switched to classic while Wenner classic skied first and then skated.
The other 50K Club skier was Steve Clancey. Among the many others were
former Olympian, Kevin Brochman who coaches Saint Olaf College, Barb
Wenner Grogan, Jayme Schricker, Jey Carlson, Malcom MacDowell, Tom
Anderson, Bruce Siegfried, Frank Lederle, Odd Osland, many time World
and National Masters Champion, Bjorn Lasserud, John Wieland, Atomic
Rep, Henry Wiesnewski and many more. I skated for 2 hours and then
classic skied for 30 minutes on my Fischer Crowns. The conditions were
excellent.
