Default the new V2 NORDIXC 125SR roller-ski: How are they for recreational workouts?

AT Roller-Skiiers:

I was wondering how the new V2/Jenex NORDIXC 125SR roller-ski
(three-wheeler w/cuff brake) are for recreational roller-skiing
workouts.

http://www.jenex.com/rollerskis/nordix/index.html

I'm not too interested in closely simulating snow conditions or
perfecting my snow skiing technique -- I am mostly wondering if they
are stable, easy to maneuver and stop, how they perform on various
surfaces, and if they are a fun and effective workout...

Any comments would be appreciated...

Thanks!

I've been roller skiing for 25 or so years, so I've used a bunch of
different roller skis.

I used the last version of the ski you mentioned- the one with three 150
wheels- a couple of years ago when recovering from foot surgery. I really
liked them as a tool for exercise.

I think the newer version would be lighter, and improved as described in
the literature.

I think you'll find them stable; no so easy to maneuver, but not dangerous
in that regard; easy to stop with; great on poor asphalt and good on softer
surfaces; and most certainly a fun and effective workout. Sounds to me like
you are a good match for them.

I sort of doubt many other newsgroup folks have them, as they are probably
more a tool for exercise than for real ski training. I must say that if I
didn't have so many roller skis hanging around at the time, I would have
bought the pair I was using. A great "commuting" roller ski. Put on a pack
and go roller ski touring, etc.

Let us know what you think and how you progress if you get them.

Now time to................go roller skiing.
