Today's yard sale find
Gorillapod-DSLR for $1. List is $49. Overkill, but cute. Detachable
thing that attaches to your camera, but I'd rather have the usual big turny-thing attatched to the 1/4-20. -- Cheers, Bev =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- If he had any brains, he'd take them out and play with them. |

Not that good a deal. $8 from Hong Kong via ebay. The $49 one will hold BIG cameras. -- Cheers, Bev ------------------------------------------------------ "Give me all your brains or I'll blow your money out!" --Anonymous Unsuccessful Bank Robber |

"You only gotta sell one!" This one is too light for a serious DSLR (carrying capacity 1.75 pounds) and is discontinued. Works fine for my P&S. Good Job! I found some money at a very rainy golf tournament. Best actual "find" was $40 in a duffle bag from a church rummage sale. -- Cheers, Bev ================================================== ========= "You should be glad that bridge fell down -- I was planning to build thirteen more to the same design." -- Attributed to I.K. The owner wanted ten cents apiece for them. I offered a buck for the stack and he took it. They are worth about 50 bucks apiece. Vote for Romney. Repeal the nightmares. |

I rode up with a guy last trip who was bragging that he got a gift of old skis from a friend, and when he took them in for tuneup, the shop said his bindings were in recall (so I thought of your situation). When the new bindings came in, they didn't fit his skis (is such a thing possible?) so he got a new pair of skis free (I'm not sure who paid for them, and the lift got to the top before I could ask). |

They are worth about 50 bucks apiece. A friend's dad owned a small market when the friend was a kid, so he had ALL the extra comic books. He remembers having the first Superman comic Action Comics #1 June 1938. I have a copy. and wonders when his mom threw out his collection. I threw my collection out when I was maybe 10, but they were definitely well worn. "Graphic novels." Pandering to people who can't read. Hmph. Vote for Romney. Repeal the nightmares. |
