La Plagne 1800

Anyone been to La Plagne 1800. Would like any info on resort and any details
of lift/bus connections with other La Plage villages. Any recommendations
for ski school for children under 9 years.

Visited Plagne 1800 in January and would definitely go again - we had
a great week. Loads of snow and four sunny days.

Regarding connections: There's a skibus approx every 30 mins to Plagne
Centre, and from there you can get buses to the other villages. There
are two bus stops (from memory) one outside a chalet in the middle of
the village and one at the top end near the lifts and ski school
meeting point. The buses start early, and go on 'til around midnight.

We used to take the Crete Cote four-man lift out in the mornings, then
hop on the Golf. From here you can ski down in to the Centre and away
you go.

Returning to 1800 you have the choice of a couple of blues (Lovatiere/
Les Mines (tricky for beginners) or the red Crete Cote.

1800 is smallish compared to the Centre. There's a supermarket, a
pizza place and a couple of bars. We spent most time in Les Mines -
good for a pint or two after getting off the slopes.
