Default Things I hate about skiing

1=2E I hate it when I remove my skis and my gloves are wet and the skis
are so cold that they "bite" my fingers before I=B4m home or at the car.

2=2E I hate it when I think I know just the right wax for the snow
condition and it doesn=B4t take five minutes to discover that I knew
zip.

3. When I hav put klister under the skis and just before I am ready to go
out skiing, it starts to snow heavily. Also experienced during a race.

4. When you skis break. Skied down a whoop-de-do section of trail today
(catching a little air). Soon afterwards, I noticed that one of my skis
had cracked right behind the binding. I have now broken 2 pairs of foam
core skis (Skilom/Madshus double box today and Atomic Comp-G) and 3 pairs
nomex core skis (2 Arc classics and 1 Arc Skate). Only one or two of those
were crash induced... I wonder how Andy Newell gets away with doing stunts
on his race skis.

If one ski of several pairs have cracked, it is possible to use a
combination of different pairs. Did it this season, even though they had
different bindings and different shoes. No problem at all.

Hey I broke (wood-honeycomb core) skis on low-snow whoop de doos last
year ! I loved those skis. I guess the ski can only flex so far in the
reverse camber direction. I read that Newell breaks many pairs per year
doing his half pipe stuff. I also noticed that at Yellowstone Newell
was on some really cool hybrid twin tip fischers ! I guess they grew
tired of giving him so many race skis for that purpose & came up with
some Newell Half Pipe Nordics ?

6. When people don't know what roller skis are and why you look stupid
going down the road:
I was roller skiing and every car that went by just almost slowed to a
stop to check out who the wierdo was. And then a hot blonde slowed down
and I placed a pole in front of my ski while smiling at her......

7. When you crash on roller skis in front of good looking women while
not actually wearing the proper equipment.

9. I hate it when slower skiers in front of me don't yield when politely
asked to do so.

10. I hate it when skiing a one-way single track trail I come face to face
with a skier coming the wrong way. I hate it even more when this skier doesn't
step aside to clear the way.

they blow by me up the hills.

the hills 8-)
