Default MYSL Ski Swap post mortem (was Future of Skiing )

So, on the plus side, I think we did OK for sales. After expenses and
paying for all the gear sold, we'll net around 4-5K for the MYSL. This
will greatly help offset the increases in insurance premiums and the new
'user fees' that have been gifted upon the clubs by their local
governmental bodies owning the parks. These fees have gone from almost
no parks charging the MYSL to a number of clubs suddenly getting hit
with large use fees this year.

Ouch, ouch, OUCH!

You _really_ should try to get the scandinavian system of 'right of
public access' instituted in the US. :-)

Right of public access will never happen in this country but it would
be an awesome thing. You could put on your skis and go anywhere you
wanted to go. There's some awesome terrain in Afton including a large
tract of land with ski trails. Unfortunately, that place is private
and has plenty of "No Trespassing" signs.
