Default Eastern Townships vs. Quebec City ???

So, how is Massif to *ski*? I've gotten the

impression that
it's more of an expert's hill than, say,

Tremblant. I've
got the same idea about Sainte Anne. Is this

right?

Not really. Massif lacks "true expert" terrain
except for 1 trail (which they've ruined) and some
not-on-the-map stuff. Massif has a good selection
of LONG blue cruisers. Ste. Anne has even more in
the blue cruiser vein. The good news is that you
can get a "carte blanche" ticket that is valid at
both areas.

How about the Eastern Townships? More

cruiser-friendly
terrain?

They're all much smaller, though Sutton is a real
gem of a place. Worth a day at each though, and
again, you can get an interchangeable ticket for
Orford/Sutton/Owl's Head/Bromont.

The best news is that a week in the townships or
Ste Anne (if you base out of Le Massif or Baie St.
Paul) costs literally half what a week at
Tremblant does, and you aren't fighting for elbow
room on the trails. Baie St. Paul (10 minutes
past Le Massif) has fantastic restaurants and
B&B's as well. I think the "Forfait du ski"
(room+lift ticket) was around $40CDN/ppdo at the
Hotel Baie St. Paul (Holiday Inn). The B&B's will
be slighty to a lot more, depending on the
particular one you choose...
