Default Rollerski Race 12/26/04

Hey, I was thinking about putting on a rollski time trial 12/26, the
day after Christmas. I figure we could start out at Afton on 15th and
make the 5-7 mile trip into Afton and end on top of the coulee climb.
I think I could fabricate a trophy or two out of old rollerski wheels.
Then a BBQ at my house in the back yard. Sorry, no pool, unless a
kiddie pool counts.

I don't think this would quite be the race Nathan would fly in for,
but maybe more of a local yocal ditty and we could catch the boys and
girls back from college.

Let me know if there's any interest....

Geez Jay,

The BBQ part sounds great, but *roller skis*. Have you totally lost all
faith in Mother Nature??? I mean really. I know we won't get lucky and
ski before Thanksgiving, but Christmas. You've really gone sour in your
old age;-)

Actually, I'll be heading for Giants Ridge for 3 days that day, but it's
a great idea.

O man of little faith,

You can count on me!

I figure saying I'll be there will cause it to snow.

still rolling,

I will go with Stub and say I will be there, in the Hope that it snows
by then.

I just read John Dee's snowfall Forcast for the upper midwest, and his
basic comment is that even though it looks bleak. There is potential
for a snowy pattern to develop over the upper midwest in early
December.

Keep the faith and until then keep rolling.

Roller skiing at night this time of year starts to get fun, with all
the different christmas lights.

Bruce.
