Avoid Snow Valley
They say a company's culture is a reflection of the attitudes of its
management. The management at Snow Valley (near Big Bear) are one bunch of stiffnecked losers. They've got this guy, named "Chuck", who is supposedly in charge of maintenance. He runs around all day on his snowmobile grabbing employees and pushing them around. They can't hire fast enough to replace the employees that quit. Real bad attitudes everywhere. They just came out of bankruptcy last year and stiffed all the local vendors by paying them only 20 cents on the dollar of what they were owed. It's a roll of the dice to buy a season ticket there. |

Once you've driven that far from LA, why does anyone stop there instead of continuing on for another half hour to Big Bear? One of my chains broke there, but surely that can't be everybody's reason. -- Cheers, Bev ------------------------------------------------------------------- "We need to cut more slack for the stupid; after all, somebody has to populate the lower part of the bell curve." -- Dennis (evil) |

Half an hour? Only if you're caught behind a Lost Angelino... But I hadn't heard anything so bad about Snow Valley and I am glad to know, subject to verification, etc. I drive up from Lake Arrowhead, and I see Snow Valley's lift towers from my decks, so I usually think of them first (lazy ass). What a bummer that they've hired a sociopath. Maybe they don't need me as a telemark instructor, either. |
