Default Snowmaking starts at Loveland

I hate to interrupt the flame fest but I figured some folks here (like
Sam) might like to hear the news that Loveland fired up the snow guns
last night. It won't be long now.

I'm not going to send an official "Bite me" until you are actually
skiing on it.

I also heard today that A-Basin and Copper also started last night.
However, we are supposed to get a warm front moving through this week
so I wouldn't be surprised if most of it melts anyway.

Just save your "bite me" until I get the opening day on my web site.
Now on the other hand, if A-Basin wins, well, I ain't goin' there!
I am crossing my fingers that it stays a bit colder on the Loveland
side of the pass.

I doubt that "most" of it will melt away. The snow is living in its
very own snow cave. I was a bit suprised this morning when I saw
a running snow fan on the top of "Home Run" (where Mambo ends, and
Home Run begins).

Also, for the newbies, when Loveland opens, they will report 3 runs
open. There will be just one path down, but it will have 3 names
on the way down.
Catwalk
Mambo
Home Run

Check those online lift maps!

Will the run be wide enough for 2 skiers abreast or passing??

Not quite ski season. We are just 2 days into the snowmaking season.
But I am watching my vegation ladden run turn white, and that is the
direction I want to see.
