Default Breckenridge Colorado Ski Condo Rental

Located in the heart of Breckenridge, Colorado, THE LIFT is walking
distance to the Quicksilver Chairlift, the Bell Tower Mall, the Lacima
Mall and all the shops and restaurants on Main Street. The free
shuttle and Town Trolley are located in front of the Bell Tower Mall.
An outdoor swimming pool and four hot tubs (2 inside and 2 outside)
are in the Columbine Recreational Facility located about 50 yards from
the building. A stackable washer/dryer is located within the unit.
There is covered parking for one car.

Check out the location at http://www.the-lift.com/location.htm

The unit sleeps six persons comfortably, but may accommodate as many
as ten. There are three newly remodeled bathrooms and two bathrooms
(see Floor Plan). It is designed like a suite with a main hallway that
has two bedrooms and a living area. The main hallway is equipped with
ski racks which provide quick and secure access to your skis. Both
bedrooms are equipped with a phone, cable TV, and sliding glass doors
to an outside balcony. The master bedroom has two Queen sized beds, a
small table with chairs, humidifier, small refrigerator, and small
microwave. The smaller bedroom has a queen sized bed. The living
section has a fully equipped kitchen, including pots and pans, large
microwave, crockpot and blender.

There is a formal dining area with a table that seats six. The kitchen
layout resembles an open bar setup that has four barstools for
informal dining. From either the kitchen or dining room you have an
unobstructed view of the entertainment center. The entertainment
center, located in the living room, holds a 25" color TV, VCR, and
various board games. Next to the entertainment center is a
wood-burning fire place. There is also a queen sofa-sleeper and
trundle bed in the living room. The living section also has a newly
remodeled bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub. Located in the living room is a
door which leads to a balcony which has a charcoal grill.

Overall, the unit has a rustic atmosphere with natural wood paneled
walls and comfortable furnishings. The unit has a unique theme which
will excite flying enthusiasts. Since the building has a central hot
water supply, there should not be a problem with guests taking
simultaneous showers in the morning.

What is your point? I was up in the mountains Saturday and even though
it is below normal, the skiing is still quite good.

My guess is Cindy works for a Utah ski resort.

With all the snowmaking available in Colorado ski areas, 20% should not be a
factor, and, besides, they got several inches last night.

I think it's *key* to say "20% below AVERAGE". "Normal" is more often than not,
somewhere between 20% over and 20% under average. zsheeesh.....

On a similar note, Alta Snowfall appears to be above normal this fall,
the skiing is still quite good.

AVOID this man and his condo at all costs!!

We have not even left for our vacation yet and I felt compelled to write this review to help other travelers avoid what we were now dealing with. We were put in touch with MIke who owns the-lift condos for assistance with our lift ticket/shuttle purchase. He promised us discount tickets and shuttle service. We contacted him two days before we left for our trip to confirm the details and he told us that he "forgot to order the tickets". What is worse is that he "lost" the paperwork that he wrote our credit card information on and we now have to cancel credit cards two days before our trip. We are now in a position where we cannot even get the reduced pricing on breckenridge.com and have to find a new shuttle service. This mistake is costing us amost $1000.00. What is worse is that this man did not even offer an apology. My advice would be to stay as far away from this place and these owners as possible.
