Mt Bachelor any good right now?
Anybody ski Mt Bachelor lately? What did you think?
No snow recently as far as I know, and it seems the PNW has had a bit of a dry spell. I was planning to go on the 19th, but I'm thinking about making different plans. |

You need your ski areas to have a base elevation needing five digits measured in feet above sea level. Mt Baker *summit* at 5,050 ft? Whew, my house is about 250 feet above that elevation. My ski area is over twice that. I would think the super dense atmosphere would be a nasty fire hazard. Sam "Skiing faster in the thin air at 11,000 ft" Seiber |

A normal winter at Baker can have a 2-300 inch base or more of our typical heavy wet snow. Imagine what it would be like with 10,000 ft ski areas. Ahhh - dreaming again. Bob |
