uphill skate rhythm
Watching WC and citizen skiers skate uphills (V1), it's apparent that
some pick up into a high turnover rate, while others pick up their tempos but are usually more medium to relatively lumbering in pace (a la Alsgaard). Is this difference a matter more of personal preference/style or is there some other reasoning behind it? I'm speaking generally, not about specific race tactics. Gene Goldenfeld |

uphill skate rhythm
Speaking only for myself ... at 6ft 5in tall with 180cm long skate poles ...
even my sprint is lumbering. :^] John Wilke Milwaukee (did an hour classic today ... still going!) |
