quick waxing question
I'm going to start waxing my own boards. Yesterday I was at Home Depot and
saw these cheap plastic putty knifes. The large one (4 inches wide) looked like it would be perfect for scraping boards. What do you all think? Would there be a problem using them instead of paying the high price for an official scraper at a board shop? Cheers, Scott |

quick waxing question
Those will work for softer waxes, I use them, but harder waxes will require
a good plexiglass scraper which you can get for under $10 and will last a long time as plexi is pretty durable and you can cut or sand a new edge on a plexi scraper if it gets dull. I got a scraper 3 years ago at rei for $2-$3. Or, find an industrial plastics company in your area and check to see if they have any 1/4" scrap pieces with a straight edge. This is for the extremely budget wary boarders |

quick waxing question
I got a sheet of plexiglas out of a neighbour's garbage and have been using
pieces of that for 5 years. In a pinch, you can also use a CD case. "Scott Lindner" wrote in message ... I'm going to start waxing my own boards.
