Snowboarding in Tignes, France
Hi! NG
How is Tignes for snowboarders? Are there good facilities? What about offpist oppertunities? I'm going this winter, but have never been there before. Thanks /Guster D |

Snowboarding in Tignes, France
Hey Guster
Going to Tignes for the 3rd year in a row this January - Always had a great time snowboarding there, if you get the "full area pass" you get to board the whole Val d`sere area too. Loads of "off peist" places - but ask in local shops - or hire a guide. There are some books avaliable that have details of the off peist areas for the Tignes resort too. There are 2 parks - one in Tignes and one on the border with Val, really good place for boarding in my opinion. Have fun - be safe. AJ "Guster D" wrote in message k... Hi! Watch where you are heading when cutting between pistes, or you could have a long flat walk out! Some of the best on-piste spots are accessible by button lift only, although the ridge that runs between Val D and Tignes is good on the Tignes side. Off-piste is good, but as always watch out for avalanche danger. Hire a guide to join a group going off-piste if you can. shameless plug there's a heliboarding report on my webpage. - Dave. -- The only powder to get high on, falls from the sky. http://www.vpas.org/ - Snowboarding the worlds pow pow - Securing your e-mail The Snowboard FAQ lives here - http://rssFAQ.org/ |
