Amazing Skiing Still At Mt. Van Hoevenberg
Skied several times this week at the Olympic trails in Lake Placid.
Today was brilliant sunshine on a very hard snowmobile groomed trail. The Porter Mt. Loops held incredible views. Never took the time to look back off some of the summits and take in the panarama because I was always racing the 50km Loppet. On Big Rock Loop the furthest trail out there was easily over 2 feet of base. Van Hovenberg has got to rank up there as one of the most challenging and beautiful trailsystems in the world.
