Default Classic rollerskiing DOES wreck kick!

OK, our snow left. It looks like it's coming back though. Anyway, while
it was gone, when the pavement got a little dryishly not too wet I did
some rollerskiing.

I was wondering about this kick stuff. Coz when I started skiing this
snowseason I really had a messed up kick for a few days.

So here I am going back to rollering after enjoy great, real kick for a
few weeks.

I had fine kick doing SP and KDP...for all of 15 minutes. Then I
noticed that I really truly had stopped kicking DOWN on the ski. With a
rollerski you don't HAVE to, so you don't. Your body adapts very
quickly and stops doing anything remotely resembling real ski kick. I
had to shake my head and revisualize being on snow, then it would come
back, but only for a couple minutes at a time! Can you imagine what
your kicking turns into even a few weeks off of snow? Hoo-boy!

I didn't know it was this bad. Oh well. I don't know what else to do.

I wonder if one can imitate real kick better just on foot with dryland.
I doubt it. There's nuthin like real snowski kick!

Now, ski-skating...there's something like the real thing. Too bad I
don't do much of it. Too bad it's not as cool as CLASSIC!

We presently have some 34F crust with 1/2" fresh on top on at least
some of the yard. I'm going out!
