Default Stanford, CA - bound

I am moving from the NYC metro area to Stanford, CA, at the end of
August. It would be nice to get in touch with local
skiers/rollerskiers. I will live w/o my spouse for about a year, so I
will be skiing/rolelrskiing/biking quite a bit... to compensate .

My real email is

Andrey.

Welcome to Bay Area skiing community!

Canada rd. is minutes away and closed for traffic on Sun. - almost
flat 5K stretch, popular among roller skiers (we also have Nor.Cal.
skating races there).

Cycling is unsurpassed on west side of HW 280 - hills up to 2500'.

This is all year around, but you have to drive to snow - in winter-
about 4 hours (Tahoe).

I live about 10 minutes away, so let me know when you show up.
Otherwise, I'm sure I will see you on Canada road.

Sergey - cool, looking forward to joining you guys. West fom 280 is
where I am planning to rent/buy a house (La Honda/Portola Valley).

Skiing-wise, I've been to Royal Gorge once, in February, during a
business trip to SF. The best skiing I've ever had.

Anyone know about roller skiing in the East Bay? I move to Berkeley at
month's end for two years (at least). I know lots of off and on road
cycling in the area but almost none of it is flat...I'm guessing a good
place to roller-ski might be the paved trail from Albany to Richmond
(about 5 miles along the bay).

On a weekend morning drive to the Presidio in the city. Little/no
