Not too cold??? You are going to Vermont in December! I skied at Stowe the
day after Christmas one year and it was -38 with 40 knot winds. The next year it was raining and +38. Killington can be brutal too. I would rate this one a tossup. X-country? No contest...Stowe wins hands down. Trapp family lodge has the best X-country skiing in the NE if not all of N. America. I haven't been to Stowe since 1995...don't know if they have a snowboard park, but I'm guessing that Killington has more to offer. Killington's snowmaking is legendary. If there is a snow guaranteee in the NE, Killington is it. Killington's nightlife is legendary. I prefer Stowe, but I'm an old fart. |

KILLINGTON VS. STOWE FOR XMAS '03
Both are great choices for Vermont Skiing (I like Surgarbush as well).
I settled on Killington for the following: 1. Terrain, you can't find more in the East. 2. Other activities X-Country, snow shoeing, snowmobiling, skating. 3. I am a snowboarder and the amount of terrain on the mountain that I considered poor skiing is great on the snowboard. 4. The largest snowmaking facility in the East. 5. Ton's of nightlife, ask the locals where to go. Need a Killington Condo? http://vtcondo.jsacks.com "Bedroomdj2005" wrote in message om...
