I'm looking for something cool, but not "too cool". It's should be
totally functional, yet say "hey, I like to enjoy life". And it must
be a panty dropper. I want to hear the soft susurration of thongs
slipping down thighs whenever I drive by. If it won't get me laid,
it's a deal breaker.

AMC Pacer or Gremlim. Accept no substitutes. Take no prisoners.

Dude,

Do you write those soft cover love novels? You should. Replace the
picture of the horse on the cover with some 1970 model auto.

Susurration, thongs, and thighs - well done!

I'm afraid this is a trick question because it didn't work that way.

Best car to have for getting chicks was the Jaguar XKE but you needed a
second one for parts.

A good alternative was the Volvo P1800 (the car Roger Moore drove in
the "Saint"). He liked it so much he bought it after the series was
over. It was dirt reliable, easy to maintain, good mileage, good
balance - I had one in Rochester NY and never had to put snow tires on
it-If you got stuck, just push.

It was a 64 VW bug doing it for me at that time. Somehow I don't
think it was the car.

If you are talking modern chicks I think the first thing to remember
is what it takes if you were after a newer car. One that says
$$$$$$$$. No matter the manufacturer, it's going to have to be
perfect and somehow say "I've got money, want some?" Once the hunt
and capture are over you can't beat a van. Come to think of it, they
work pretty good for the hunt and capture too.

Me, I'm having terrific luck with a Cooper S. (But it's always the
same girl....)

Isn't it a P1800 that holds the current "most miles on a passenger
car" title?
